The unit works closely with other departments such PACU and ICU as patients transition from these departments to 2000. The technical, hands-on skills of nursing are used every day on the unit, as most patients come with a number of tubes, lines, drains, and/or wound cares/dressing changes. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
